General Information

The “Remembering the Space Age: 50th Anniversary Conference” will be held at the American Association for the Advancement of Science Auditorium, October 22-23, 2007. The workshop is scheduled from approximately 8:30 am to 5:00 pm both days.

REGISTRATION

Conference Registration Check-in will be held beginning 7:00 am on October 22nd outside the Auditorium. At that time, you will be asked to sign in and you will be given your name tag.

ALLOWABLE GOVERNMENT PER DIEM

Allowable Government Per Diem in the District of Columbia during October 2007 is $64 for MI&E and $195 for lodging.

The cutoff date for making reservations is September 21, 2007. The rooms are blocked at the government per diem rate of $195/studio per night. Check in time is 4:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 p.m. A major credit card must be used to guarantee your reservation. To cancel a reservation, you must contact the hotel directly by 6:00 pm the day prior to your arrival.

It is highly advised that reservations be made early. Reservations will be accepted at the group rate until September 21, 2007 or until the block is full. If you do not make your reservations by the cut off date, you will not be guaranteed the group rate and will be subjected to the best available rate at that time.

Rates cannot be changed at check-in or checkout for attendees who fail to make their reservation within the group block.
